Connecting tourism between Nghe An and Nong Khai, Thailand
(Baonghean.vn) - With similarities in culture, beliefs, and developed tourism infrastructure, Nghe An hopes that Nong Khai will encourage and introduce travel businesses from both sides to create a chain of links, cooperation, and effectively exploit tours between Nghe An and the Northeast region of Thailand.
On the afternoon of July 18, a delegation from Nong Khai province (Thailand) led by Mr. Jirasak Srikhacha - Deputy Governor visited and worked in Nghe An province to discuss measures to promote trade and tourism.
Welcoming the delegation on the provincial side were comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of a number of provincial departments and branches.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh quickly informed the delegation of Nghe An's remarkable achievements in recent times, and affirmed that the provincial leaders always welcome, support and welcome Thai investors to Nghe An.
Currently, there are 12 FDI projects from Thailand in the province with a total registered capital of 228.2 million USD. In particular, the Thai Hemaraj Group has been licensed to implement the WHA Industrial Park - Nghe An infrastructure investment project, covering an area of 3,200 hectares in phase 1 with a total investment capital of 92.2 million USD and a total investment commitment of 1 billion USD for both phases.
Nghe An's main export items to Thailand include: packaging of all kinds, paving stones, textiles, pine, processed fruits and fruit juices... On the other hand, the main import items include: fresh fruits, machinery and equipment, and paper products.

To exploit the potential and advantages of the two localities, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh hopes that Nghe An and Nong Khai will seek new cooperation opportunities and promote investment. In particular, with similarities in culture, beliefs, and developed tourism infrastructure, Nghe An hopes that Nong Khai will encourage and introduce travel businesses from both sides to create a chain of links and cooperation to effectively exploit tours of Nghe An - Northeast Thailand.
In the field of agriculture, Nghe An hopes Nong Khai will exchange and transfer high technology, and at the same time introduce Nong Khai's investors in this field to promote investment in Nghe An.
At the meeting, Deputy Governor of Nong Khai province Jirasak Srikhacha thanked the leaders of Nghe An province for their warm welcome and briefly introduced the province's potential.

The Deputy Governor of Nong Khai province expressed his wish to promote and cooperate in the exchange of goods between the two provinces, promoting the cooperation strengths of the provinces within the framework of the Association of provinces using Highway 8 and Highway 12 of the three countries of Vietnam, Laos and Thailand.
Nong Khai is a province located in the Northeast of Thailand, more than 600 km from the capital Bangkok. Nong Khai has advantages in agriculture with key products such as mangosteen, rice, corn, brocade textiles... In addition, Nong Khai also strongly develops the tourism sector, especially spiritual tourism.
At the end of the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh affirmed that, with geographical location and similarities in culture and history, in the future Nghe An and Nong Khai will promote strong cooperation, strengthen the friendship of the two localities in particular, as well as contribute to enhancing the relationship between Vietnam and Thailand in general.
