(Baonghean.vn) - These days, the water level in Ban Ve hydroelectric reservoir remains low. The lives of people on both sides of the Nam Non River have therefore become chaotic, with difficulties piling up on top of difficulties. The clear difference between the two water seasons in this hydroelectric reservoir creates quite an impressive image.

During the flood season, the Nam Non River is clear and blue, reaching all the way to Con Phen village (Huu Khuong commune). However, at this time, the water recedes more than 3 km from the village, the lake bed is dry, and the land is cracked.
During high tide, people only need to walk a few dozen meters to get on a boat to go downstream. During this season, long and narrow roads, no wider than an adult’s hand, are opened to wind around the edge of the mountain to get to the dock.
The water receded so quickly that it was no longer easy to get on and off the boat. The ground was muddy and sinking, very dangerous.
The bustling scene at the marina is now deserted, replaced by images of stranded boats lying exposed in the sun.
The streams that flow into the Nam Non River, which used to be easy to navigate by boat, have now dried up, leaving only the bottom and a thick layer of mud.
Many households that raise fish in rafts on the lake to make a living have now become frustrated because the water is low and the rafts are stuck on the riverbank.
The once bustling fishing village scene is now deserted.
The low water season is also the time when fish resources in the river become scarce. Hundreds of fishermen's nets are scattered on the bushes along the river.
Grazing became more difficult than ever. Cattle were frequently stranded and trapped in deep mud flats.
