The Ministry of Public Security proposes that citizens with PhD degrees and level I-II specialist doctors do not need to take entrance exams, but only be considered for admission through degrees and certificates.

On July 19, the Ministry of Public Security completed the draft Circular regulating the selection of citizens into the People's Public Security to collect opinions within 2 months.

The criteria for selecting citizens to join the police force are to have a strong political stance, absolute loyalty to the Fatherland; honesty, strict sense of organization and discipline, preserving and protecting state secrets; good character, ethics and morality, trusted by the people at the place of residence or study or work; aged 18 to under 30...

According to the draft, citizens will be selected through examinations. Citizens with master's, doctoral degrees, level I-II specialist doctors, resident doctors, level I-II specialist pharmacists specializing in medicine, pharmacy or university graduates with honors or distinction; cadres, civil servants, public employees working in ministries, branches or officers, professional soldiers serving in the Vietnam People's Army who have graduated from university or higher will be selected through examinations.

During the admission process, the Ministry of Public Security developed a 100-point scale, in which those with a doctorate, level II specialist doctor, level II specialist pharmacist in medicine or pharmacy will have 50 points added to the total admission score; those with a master's degree, level I specialist doctor, resident doctor, level I specialist pharmacist in medicine or pharmacy or who graduated from university with honors or excellence will have 30 points added to the total admission score.

University graduates with good grades; college and secondary school graduates with good or excellent grades; primary school graduates with excellent grades; and ethnic minorities will have 20 points added to the total admission or entrance exam score.

For the selection round, the Ministry of Public Security proposed that citizens will have to go through interview rounds; general awareness test; aptitude, foreign language; information technology... As for those who are selected, the majority of the test content is academic achievement, degrees, transcripts...

According to the Ministry of Public Security, based on training level, military rank, salary coefficient, compulsory social insurance payment period (if any) and assigned expertise and tasks, citizens selected to join the People's Public Security will be considered, awarded ranks and salaries according to regulations of the Minister of Public Security.
