Yen Thanh pilot land auction by indirect secret ballot
(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Yen Thanh district has just organized an auction of land use rights in Hau Thanh commune under the new form of indirect secret ballot. This is the first pilot model implemented in Yen Thanh district.
Accordingly, in this land auction, there are 15 residential land lots put up for auction with 102 customers participating. The lot with the highest starting price is 374,332 million VND; the lowest lot is 264,522 million VND.

Before that, customers were thoroughly informed and guided on the new auction process in a specific way; all relevant information was filled in on the bid form, secretly sealed in an envelope before being put into the ballot box and made public when the ballot box was unsealed.
Under the close supervision of the District Supervisory Council, the auction was conducted publicly, transparently, and in accordance with the law. After only 2 hours, 15/15 plots of land in Hau Thanh commune were successfully auctioned, the highest plot costing over 1.302 billion VND, the lowest plot costing 381 million VND. The total amount collected was 8.339 billion VND, higher than the starting price of 4.338 billion VND.
During the auction, there is no longer the situation of "land brokers" running rampant to fix prices and causing chaos like before.
