(Baonghean.vn) - Taking advantage of a loophole, Nguyen Van Tu, residing in Vinh city, recklessly hired people and vehicles to enter VSIP industrial park (Hung Nguyen) to steal a bulldozer and then sold it to another company.

The Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) has just initiated a case and prosecuted Nguyen Van Tu (born in 1985, residing in Hung Dong commune, Vinh city) for the crime of property theft.

This is a reckless and sophisticated subject who dared to go into the industrial park, hire people and vehicles to transport valuable assets out without anyone knowing.

The incident occurred at Becamex Binh Duong Company located in VSIP Industrial Park, Hung Tay Commune (Hung Nguyen). On June 19, while checking vehicles and equipment, the company's staff discovered that a D50P - 16 KOMASU bulldozer had been stolen, so they reported it to the Criminal Police Department. Upon receiving the report, the Criminal Police Department conducted verification and notified the search for the evidence.

During the investigation, the police discovered that the stolen bulldozer was at Mr. LVB's house (Nghi Lien commune, Vinh city). Through the investigation, Mr. B. said that he bought the vehicle from Mr. Ho Van Thuyet (Director of Quoc Bao Company, specializing in cargo crane services) on June 17 for 126 million VND.

During the working process, Mr. Ho Van Thuyet said: On June 14, a man calling himself Ha Anh Tuan, with phone number 0354.019.391, called to hire Mr. Thuyet's company (headquartered in block 14, Le Loi ward, Vinh city) to transport a bulldozer for repair. After dealing with the subject, Mr. Thuyet sent a crane to the address that Tuan requested to transport the bulldozer.

A day later, a person who called himself Tuan came to the company to meet Mr. Thuyet and said that because he had no need to use it, he did not want to repair it anymore and wanted to sell it back to the company. After negotiating, Mr. Thuyet agreed to buy it for 120 million VND, but because he did not have the documents, Mr. Thuyet gave Tuan 70 million VND in advance, promising to pay the remaining amount when he brought the documents. However, the person did not return.

From the statements provided by Mr. Thuyet, the police agency verified the suspect. During the investigation, the police agency determined that the main suspect was Nguyen Van Tu, who had 3 previous convictions for property theft and fraud. As for Tu, sensing the police force was involved and knowing that he could not escape, on July 6, Tu went to the police agency to surrender.

Tu confessed that he was the culprit in the theft of the bulldozer at Becamex Company. Tu used the 70 million VND from selling the car to Mr. Thuyet to buy a 16 million VND gold necklace and for personal expenses, now only 25 million VND left.

According to the property appraisal results, the bulldozer is worth over 210 million VND.
