A Korean man opened the door to let a young woman clean inside and was shocked to discover that the apartment door had been broken into and the safe had been broken into.

On July 21, the Bac Tu Liem District Police (Hanoi) continued to investigate the case of a safe theft, taking away a large amount of property at an apartment in the Ciputra urban area.

The incident was discovered on the morning of July 19 at apartment P708-P2, building P2, Ciputra urban area (Xuan Dinh ward, Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi).

At this time, the Korean man opened the door to let a young woman in to clean up the inside, but was shocked to discover that the apartment door had been broken into. The thief had turned the safe in the bedroom upside down to break in from the bottom, taking all the property inside.

The safe was broken at the bottom and more than 8 billion worth of assets were lost.

The scene left around the area was quite messy due to the broken materials falling out. The remaining areas in the apartment were almost undisturbed. Initial information, the apartment tenant is Mr. Lee Gong Myung (born in 1968, Korean nationality).

He left Vietnam in early July 2019 to attend to personal matters. Upon receiving information about the theft, his assistant in Vietnam was present to notify the homeowner and the police.

Mr. Lee Gong Myong informed his assistant that the total amount of money and assets inside the safe was worth more than 8 billion: including about 1 billion Vietnamese Dong, 15,000 Yuan, 4 watches worth about 7 billion VND and 10 taels of gold.

Immediately after receiving the news, Xuan Dinh Ward Police and Bac Tu Liem District Police were present to investigate and take statements from witnesses.
