Nghe An Buddhist youth participate in the "Youth and Buddhism" camp in Hanoi
(Baonghean.vn) - With the spirit of learning and cultivating morality, the Nghe An Buddhist youth delegation is in Hanoi to participate in the 2019 Youth and Buddhism Camp of Northern provinces and cities.
The 2019 “Youth and Buddhism” camp in the Northern region with the theme “The Spirit of Thang Long” and the scientific seminar “Activities of Buddhist followers with the sustainability of the country” were organized by the Buddhist Guidance Board (HDPT) of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha from July 24 to 28.

The camp took place at Khai Nguyen Pagoda, Son Dong Commune, Son Tay Town, Hanoi City with the participation of nearly 2,200 campers and volunteers from 18 northern provinces and cities (from Quang Binh and above).
The camp will feature many activities such as: lectures on ethics and basic Buddhist teachings; practicing etiquette, chanting, meditating, reciting Buddha's name; organizing games, performing arts, lighting campfires, marching "Heroic Spirit of Thang Long", lighting candles and lanterns to pray for peace, sharing love...

The Nghe An Buddhist youth delegation participating in the "Youth and Buddhism" camp in Hanoi included 70 members from Yen Thanh, Anh Son, Do Luong districts and Vinh city, led by Venerable Thich Tue Minh - Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province.
At the camp, the Nghe An Buddhist youth group designed a beautiful camp space, made entirely from natural materials (bamboo) with many prominent local elements, images and symbols, in which the camp gate simulated the image of Vinh citadel gate.
In addition, the delegation also brought to the Camp two special performances: the drum performance of the rice land of Yen Thanh and the dance performance "Bright Vietnamese Buddhism". With careful and meticulous preparation, the Nghe An Buddhist Youth Delegation hopes to add new and meaningful colors to the Camp.

The “Youth and Buddhism” camp with the theme “Thang Long Spirit” and the scientific seminar on “Buddhist activities with sustainable national development” are healthy and useful playgrounds to enhance learning exchange and moral cultivation among Buddhist youth clubs of the northern provinces.
The camp and seminar contribute to educating Buddhists in the spirit of gratitude to Buddha, serving the Triple Gem, love for the homeland, filial piety towards grandparents, parents, teachers, and becoming exemplary citizens, useful to society.
