Nghe An police opened fire to suppress and arrest a group of drug dealers
(Baonghean.vn) - When the detectives rushed in to arrest him, Ba's two juniors who were on guard duty rushed in to help. Ba fought back fiercely, forcing the task force to open fire to suppress the suspects.
On July 28, the Drug Crime Investigation Department of Nghe An Province Police said that the unit had just co-chaired with Nghia Dan District Police, coordinated with Traffic Police Team 1.48, Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police to break up a case to arrest a subject illegally buying and selling drugs; seized 1kg of crystal meth and 3,000 pink pills.
Previously, detectives from the Drug Crime Investigation Department discovered a large-scale drug trafficking ring led by Dao Viet Ba (born in 1969), residing in Viet Huong village, Chau Hoi commune, Quy Chau district.
Through verification, Ba had 5 previous convictions for illegal drug trafficking and use. He was reckless, ready to fight back when surrounded and arrested by the police.

After that, the Drug Crime Investigation Department coordinated with Nghia Dan District Police to establish a special project to arrest Dao Viet Ba. The special project team discovered that Ba often went to Que Phong district to make friends with a group of Mong people in Nam Can commune, Ky Son district.
The subjects exchanged information about the quantity of goods, then returned home. A few days later, Ba received a phone call informing him that the goods were available, discussing the delivery location, or even that his “Hmong friends” would cut through the forest to deliver the goods to him.
On July 26, the Task Force received information that Dao Viet Ba was preparing to receive a large shipment of goods, and at the same time the subject moved from home to Que Phong district, so they sent a working group to closely follow and monitor.

At around 8pm the same day, the scouts discovered Ba returning home to Viet Huong village empty-handed, so they assumed that the partners might cut through the forest to bring the "goods" to Ba's house. At 3am on July 27, Ba woke up and went to the mountainous area behind the house to get the "goods".
When the detectives started to act, Ba's two juniors who were on guard duty rushed in to help. Ba fought back fiercely, forcing the task force to open fire to suppress the subjects. Ba was subdued, and the juniors escaped into the deep forest... The seized evidence included 1kg of crystal meth and 3,000 synthetic drug pills.
At the police station, Dao Viet Ba confessed to buying the above drugs for more than 200 million VND from Mong people in Ky Son and then bringing them back to Quy Chau to resell for profit.
