Nghe An: Announcing 10 Regional Tax Branches and new Branch Directors
(Baonghean.vn) - From 21 tax branches, implementing the merger according to the policy of streamlining the payroll, the Ministry of Finance has issued a Decision approving 10 new regional tax branches under the Nghe An Tax Department and operating from August 5, 2019.
Attending the announcement ceremony of the regional tax branches on the afternoon of July 31, there were comrades of the Provincial Party Committee: Le Hong Vinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Nam Dinh - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc, representatives of the Provincial People's Council, the Organization Department of the General Department of Taxation, leaders of departments, branches, districts, cities, towns, leaders of the Tax Department, and new regional tax branches.
At the ceremony, the representative of the Organization Department of the General Department of Taxation announced the Decision of the Ministry of Finance (Decision No. 1836/QD-BTC, Decision No. 920/2019) on the consolidation of regional tax branches under the Nghe An Tax Department. Accordingly, in Nghe An, from 21 tax branches, there are now 10 tax branches under the Nghe An Tax Department.
Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of the Nghe An Tax Department in the past time, the contributions of districts and tax branches in socio-economic development.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also highly appreciated the implementation of the Resolution of the 6th Central Committee (term XII) of the Nghe An Tax sector. "The upcoming tasks are very heavy, I hope that the Tax sector and tax branches will overcome difficulties and excellently complete their tasks. The upcoming Party and Youth Union activities and emulation movements after the merger need to be paid attention to by the Tax sector's leaders. In addition, administrative reform and support for taxpayers in the localities need to continue to be implemented well, ideological work needs to be done well, and solidarity in the whole sector needs to be strengthened to contribute to the excellent completion of the 2019 budget collection plan".

Functions, tasks and powers of regional tax departments
The regional tax branch is an organization under the provincial Tax Department, with the function of organizing the implementation of tax, fee, charge and other state budget revenues within the scope of duties of the tax authority managing the collection in the area according to the provisions of law.
Regional tax offices have legal status, their own seals, and are allowed to open accounts at the State Treasury in accordance with the provisions of law.
Regional tax branches perform tasks, powers and responsibilities according to the provisions of the Law on Tax Administration, tax laws, other relevant legal provisions and the tasks and powers prescribed in Article 2, Decision No. 110/QD-BTC dated January 14, 2019 of the Minister of Finance.
In districts where there is no regional tax office, to facilitate taxpayers, in districts and towns where there is no regional tax office, the Tax Office arranges a Department to receive and handle administrative procedures according to the "One-stop" mechanism.
