(Baonghean.vn) - After merging the three communes of Nghia Tan, Nghia Thang and Nghia Lien, the name of the new administrative unit is expected to be Nghia Thanh commune.

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 1120/SNV-XDCQ&CNTT dated May 31, 2019 of the Department of Home Affairs of Nghe An province on the development of a commune merger plan, the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district has compiled, reviewed and developed a plan to merge Nghia Tan commune with two adjacent communes, Nghia Thang and Nghia Lien, to establish a commune-level administrative unit in the period of 2019 - 2021.

After merging the three communes of Nghia Tan, Nghia Thang and Nghia Lien, the name of the new administrative unit is expected to be Nghia Thanh commune. The commune belongs to the type 1 mountainous area. The natural area is 2,529 hectares, with a population of 9,100 people.

It is expected that after the merger, the new commune headquarters will be located in Nghia Tan commune.

The district will develop a specific roadmap from now until 2025 to arrange and assign positions in accordance with regulations for commune-level officials, civil servants, and part-time workers at the commune and hamlet levels in the new administrative unit.

In case the qualified staff resigns, the policies will be resolved in accordance with regulations. For civil servants, the District People's Committee will review the total number of civil servants assigned in the district to develop a plan for transfer to other administrative units suitable to their capacity and trained major.

The district is responsible for converting administrative procedures related to documents for the people when requested. Schools and health stations will be merged into one and arranged into points; only Lien Thang Secondary School will remain the same.

After this working session, the communes will organize to collect voters' opinions on the project to rearrange commune-level administrative units from August 10 to 20. On August 24, the communes will hold a meeting of the Commune People's Council to approve the project; before August 30, the District People's Council will meet to approve the project and before September 5, the District People's Committee will complete the documents and project to submit to the Provincial People's Committee./.
