(Baonghean.vn) - Anh Son district supports farmers with 5,000 kg of probiotics to produce 2,500 tons of organic microbial fertilizers for crops.

Mr. Le Huu Hai's family in village 9, Khai Son commune has 300 orange trees. Since 2016, he has been using agricultural by-products to compost organic microbial fertilizer, bringing practical results.

Mr. Hai shared: To make 1 ton of organic fertilizer, you only need 800 kg of manure, 200 kg of agricultural waste: straw, corn stalks, rice husks, sawdust, 2 kg of microbial products, a small amount of phosphate fertilizer, nitrogen and molasses. In 2019, Mr. Hai's family has composted more than 20 tons of microbial fertilizer, preparing to fertilize crops.

Mr. Le Van Nguyen's family in village 9, Khai Son commune has 7 hectares of industrial oranges and tea. For nearly 2 years now, his family has not spent much money on buying chemical fertilizers, but instead, he has switched to composting organic microbial fertilizers from agricultural waste for fertilization.

Mr. Nguyen said: The application of biofertilizer production not only contributes to increasing productivity, making the soil loose, reducing pests and diseases, increasing the ability to retain water containing many useful microorganisms, but biofertilizer also helps increase the longevity and durability of plants. More than a month ago, Mr. Nguyen's family composted 20 tons of biofertilizer, which is currently being used to fertilize the family's orange and tea fields.
