Gasoline prices will decrease starting this afternoon (August 1st).
Each liter of E5 RON 92 gasoline will decrease by 377 VND, and RON 95 gasoline will decrease by 316 VND, effective from 3 PM today (August 1st).
According to an announcement from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, from 3 PM today (August 1st), gasoline prices will decrease by more than 300 VND per liter, while diesel prices (except for fuel oil) will increase.
Specifically, each liter of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 377 VND, and RON 95 gasoline decreased by 316 VND. Diesel increased by 26 VND and kerosene increased by 7 VND. Meanwhile, fuel oil decreased by 53 VND per kilogram.
Following the adjustment, the maximum price for E5 RON 92 gasoline is 19,902 VND per liter; RON 95 gasoline is 20,919 VND per liter. Kerosene and diesel fuel increased to 17,023 VND and 15,966 VND respectively.

The Inter-Ministerial Committee has decided to allocate 100 VND per liter of E5 RON 92 gasoline to the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund. The allocation for RON 95 gasoline is 500 VND per liter. Simultaneously, no funds from the Stabilization Fund will be used.
Data from the Ministry of Industry and Trade shows that the average price of refined petroleum products in the world over the past 15 days decreased in the first half of the pricing period but increased again in recent days, reaching 70.028 USD per barrel of RON 92 gasoline (the type used to blend E5 RON 92 gasoline). Each barrel of RON 95 decreased by more than 1.6 USD compared to 15 days ago, reaching 72.89 USD per barrel...

Thus, after three consecutive price increases, this is the first time gasoline prices have decreased since the beginning of June.
