Two gamers, An and Dat, cheated gullible people out of their money by pretending to win prizes. They shared the money they had swindled to play games.

Tinh Gia District Police (Thanh Hoa) said that they have just initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and issued an order to temporarily detain two subjects, Nguyen Duc Thien An (born in 1999) and Ngo Xuan Dat (born in 2001), both in Duy Son commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province, for the act of "Using computer networks, telecommunications networks, and electronic means to commit acts of property appropriation".

2 subjects Ngo Xuan Dat and Nguyen Duc Thien An.

According to the initial investigation results of Tinh Gia District Police, through the social network Facebook, Nguyen Duc Thien An bought hundreds of Facebook social network accounts for 10,000 VND/account, then changed the display name of these accounts to the name of Messenger Vietnam, prepared a winning message and asked Dat to send it to the accounts on his friend list. If anyone contacted him, An would instruct them to log in to the link of the website hopquamxh and follow the instructions to receive the prize.

With the above tricks, the two subjects Nguyen Duc Thien An and Ngo Xuan Dat have defrauded and appropriated the property of many people across the country with a total amount of more than 400 million VND. Typically, Mr. HXA, in Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa was defrauded by these subjects and appropriated 63.2 million VND.

In the complaint, Mr. A. said: After receiving the notice online and following the instructions of the subjects, he was informed that he had to pay a 3.5 million VND application fee to receive the Facebook social network reward including a SH motorbike worth 97 million VND and 200 million VND in cash.

Thinking it was real, Mr. A. paid the money but was then asked to pay 29.7 million VND in VAT. However, after depositing money into his account, he was asked to pay another 30 million VND to get a 6-digit code, after which he would receive the reward.

Thinking he had reached the final step to receive the reward worth nearly 300 million VND, Mr. A paid as requested, but the reward was nowhere to be seen, and these subjects blocked all communication with him. Knowing he had been scammed, Mr. A filed a complaint with the authorities.

It is known that both Nguyen Duc Thien An and Ngo Xuan Dat are game addicts. All the money they stole was shared to play games./.
