Military Region 4 deploys the task of collecting martyrs' remains in the 2019 - 2020 dry season
(Baonghean.vn) - In the dry season of 2018 - 2019, although the search and collection of martyrs' remains encountered many difficulties, the Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 4 directed forces to organize surveys, searches, and collection of martyrs' remains with good results.
On the morning of August 6, in Vinh City, Steering Committee 151 of Military Region 4 held a conference to deploy the task of surveying, searching, and collecting martyrs' remains in the 2019-2020 dry season.
Major General Nguyen Duc Hoa - Deputy Political Commissar, Head of Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 4 chaired the conference. Major General Tran Quoc Dung - Director of the Policy Department (General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army) - Chief of Office of the National Steering Committee 515, representatives of departments under the Policy Department attended and directed. Also attending the conference were comrades in the Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 4; representatives of a number of relevant functional agencies of the Military Region, the Military Commands of 6 provinces, Division 968 and Economic - Defense Group 337.

In the dry season of 2018 - 2019, although the search and collection of martyrs' remains encountered many difficulties, the Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 4 directed the forces to organize surveys, searches, and collection of martyrs' remains with good results. In the dry season of 2018 - 2019, the units searched and collected 184 martyrs' remains in Laos, reaching 117% of the set plan; of which 2 martyrs' remains had their full identities identified, and 1 martyr's remains had their full names identified.
Regarding domestic search and collection work, as of May 31, 2019, units have searched and collected 156 martyrs' remains, reaching 102% of the planned target. Agencies and units have done a good job of mobilizing domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to provide information about martyrs' graves to facilitate the search and collection of martyrs' remains.

The work of handing over and collecting biological samples of martyrs' remains was carried out strictly; the memorial service and burial of martyrs' remains were organized thoughtfully and solemnly, expressing gratitude and deep appreciation to those who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and performed noble international duties.
Steering Committee 515 of Military Region 4 also determined that the work of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains in the dry season of 2019 - 2020 focuses on a number of main goals and targets such as: Directing the implementation of extensive propaganda on the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains, collecting information on martyrs and martyrs' graves, and doing a good job of receiving, processing, and providing information on martyrs and martyrs' graves.

Continue to coordinate with the Special Working Groups of the provinces and relevant departments of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party to organize forces to search, collect, and repatriate the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts in 10 provinces and cities of the Lao People's Democratic Republic under the responsibility of the Military Region, focusing on the provinces of Xieng Khouang and Xay Xom Bun; strive to search, collect, and repatriate about 150 remains of martyrs in Laos to the country.
Focus and make efforts to organize the search and collection of martyrs' remains in the domestic area effectively, focusing on the search and collection in the provinces of Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri, striving to search and collect about 138 martyrs' remains in the country. Combine the implementation of the local conclusions, create a map of the search and collection of martyrs' remains at 3 levels on schedule, achieving quality.
