Earlier, a thunderstorm with lightning struck the livestock grazing areas of three villages – Na Túi, Na Cấn, and Na Lịt – in the border commune of Tri Lễ. The lightning killed 10 cows belonging to four households. According to the Tri Lễ commune leader, the area has a high iron ore content in the soil. This is likely the main reason for the lightning strike that killed the villagers' livestock.
Currently, local authorities are coordinating with forces stationed in the area to educate the public about limiting the free-ranging of livestock, especially during thunderstorms, in order to minimize losses for the people.
