(Baonghean.vn) - Meeting the opponent who defeated them in the opening match of the group stage, U15 Vietnam continued to have a difficult match against U15 Indonesia.

Meeting the opponent who defeated them 2-0 in the group stage, U15 Vietnam entered the match more cautiously than the confrontation between the two teams on the opening day of the tournament.

In that match, Indonesia won partly because they knew how to take advantage of rare opportunities while U15 Vietnam wasted too many when facing the opponent's goal. Both teams almost did not create any dangerous opportunities during the first 30 minutes of the match.

In the 31st minute, the opportunity to open the score came to U15 Vietnam when Van Phong skillfully handled the ball after receiving a pass from his teammate, but under the pressure of the opposing defender, striker number 18 regrettably missed the post by a hair's breadth, and that was also the most dangerous opportunity for both teams before entering the break between the two halves.

In the second half, the game became more open when in the first minutes, U15 Indonesia created a dangerous situation but Quang Truong rushed out of the penalty area to block the opponent's striker's acceleration. Immediately after that, U15 Vietnam responded but all of them were just opportunities.

In the remaining time, both teams increased the speed of the match with an attractive offensive game, but the goals still eluded the strikers on both sides.

The official 80 minutes of the match ended in a goalless draw and the two teams had to decide the winner on penalties.

In the unlucky penalty shootout, U15 Vietnam was only successful in 2 shots while the opponent was successful 3 times.

Vietnam U15 left the tournament in 4th place after losing to Indonesia U15 in the 3rd place match.

Tomorrow afternoon, U15 Vietnam will return home to continue training, preparing for the 2020 U16 Asian qualifiers which will take place from September 14 to September 22.
