(Baonghean.vn) - Two girls, 14 and 15 years old (Tuong Duong district, Nghe An) came to Thanh to ask him to take them to China to work, but unexpectedly they were tricked and sold as wives for many years.

On August 10, the Criminal Police Department (PC02, Nghe An Police) announced that the unit had prosecuted Lo Thi Thanh (32 years old, Nga My commune) and Luong Thi Khay (33 years old, Yen Hoa commune, Tuong Duong) for the crime of Child trafficking under Article 120 of the 1999 Penal Code. In which, Khay was released on bail because she was pregnant.

According to the investigation, 7 years ago, two girls, Luong Thi Ng. and Ngan Thi P. (both residing in Nga My commune), came to Thanh to ask him to take them to China to work. At that time, P. was only 14 years old, and Ng. was not yet 15.

Thanh then met Khay to discuss and then called a woman from the same hometown named H. who was living in China to express his intention to sell the two girls. In early July 2012, Khay and Thanh took the two victims to Vinh City Bus Station to hand them over to this woman and then continued to take them to China.

Shortly after arriving at Ms. H.'s house in Han Tan (Khua Be, China), the two girls were sold to Chinese men as wives for 60,000 yuan. It was not until April 2017, during a raid, that the Chinese police discovered Ngan Thi P. and filed a case to send her back to Vietnam.

"However, P. did not go to school and was illiterate, so he was released but did not file a complaint," said the investigator of this case.

As for Luong Thi Ng., in June 2019, the Criminal Police Department coordinated with the Blue Dragon Children's Organization to rescue her and bring her home. Ng. then filed a complaint against Khay and Thanh, along with a woman named H.

Before returning to her homeland, Ngan Thi P. spent 5 years as a wife to a Chinese man, while Luong Thi Ng. had to endure for 7 years. Both said that during this time, they were constantly beaten and strictly controlled by their husbands' families. They tried to escape many times but failed.

The case is being further investigated by the police.
