For the first time in 5 years, Siu Black spoke up about the rumors of being in debt of tens of billions of dong due to business losses, gambling and pampering a lover. “It hurt me to hear it, but at that time I was too tired, I didn’t want to speak up to explain,” Siu Black said.
Siu Black said that at that time, she actually had a boyfriend but he never asked her for money. “However, that relationship broke down when I had an accident,” she shared.
She added: “And I didn’t gamble to the point of being in debt like that. People just go to all the famous casinos in Saigon and ask, where is my name?”
According to Siu Black, she failed miserably when she tried her hand at business in Ho Chi Minh City. “I put a lot of effort into this place. I wanted to build a music cafe with Siu Black’s characteristics and bring the Central Highlands space to the heart of Saigon.
To make a difference, I personally went to remote villages to buy old items from ethnic people and brought them back to my coffee shop. Singer Hong Nhung went with me once and she exclaimed because the road to the village was too far, but I didn't feel tired at all," Siu Black confided.

In her most difficult times, Siu was protected and sheltered by her relatives. |
She said, opening the coffee shop also carried with it the ambition to bring all the poor young people, the grandchildren in the village, the grandchildren who called Siu Black "aunt", "grandma", "auntie" to the shop to help out and then send them to learn a trade for a bright future.
“At the same time, I also wanted the coffee shop to become a destination for singers who don’t have a place to play. Although my family objected because they were afraid I would be too busy running shows to manage, I thought, why can’t I do it if others can do it? I tried. But maybe my arms weren’t long enough and I failed miserably,” Siu Black regretted.
The female singer opened the coffee shop in Tan Binh district with an initial cost of more than 1 billion VND. In the first year, the shop operated well, but then, because Siu Black performed a lot, sometimes going abroad for 3 or 4 months, she could not manage it. The business also gradually declined because of that. The income was low, but every 2 or 3 months, the shop had to be upgraded and repaired. Each repair cost several hundred million VND. Finally, when she could not manage, the "mountain nightingale" went bankrupt.
At that time, there were rumors that creditors were looking for Siu Black everywhere, appearing in any show that featured her, Siu Black did not admit it. "To calm down and avoid the surrounding storms, I chose to live in seclusion, relying on my family and not contacting anyone in showbiz," she confided.

“I thought I would die somewhere without bothering my family. But then, after two months of silence, I thought of my two sons and felt that it was not right for me to leave as a mother. I called my son and told him to come to my older sister’s house in Kon Tum and wait for me,” Siu emotionally recalled.
According to Siu Black, she is deeply grateful to this older sister for opening her arms to welcome her during her most difficult time.
