A class of 43 students in the flooded area of Nghe An all passed university entrance exams to top schools nationwide.
(Baonghean) - The class is located in the "5 South" region of Nam Dan district, most of the students are from disadvantaged families, but in the 2019 university entrance exam, students of class 12C1 - Nam Dan 2 High School all passed the entrance exams to top schools in the country, including 11 students who passed the entrance exams to medical schools.
Among the 43 students in the class, Pham Van Dat is a special student when in the recent National High School Exam he scored 27 points, in which in Math alone, Dat scored 9.8 points. Currently, Dat is one of the few candidates who have just been admitted to the major with the highest entrance score of the University of Technology - the Advanced Program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (standard score of 27 points).
Sharing about his decision, Pham Van Dat said: This is the first year that the University of Technology has opened this major and it is a major with a high competition rate. However, I am confident that I will be accepted and hope that in the future I will be able to do the job that I love.

Ranked second in class 12C1 is Nguyen Tien Anh, a freshman at the Military Medical Academy. Tien Anh is also an exemplary student. He has always been an excellent student in all aspects of high school. In particular, in class 11, English won second prize in the provincial excellent student category in Mathematics. In the class list, there are many other students with very high scores such as Duong Ngoc Huy (26.75 points), admitted to Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Tu Duc Dat (26.45 points), admitted to the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting; Tran Thi Thuy (26.25 points), admitted to the National Economics University.
Also through class statistics, in a class of 40 students, 39 students passed their first choice university entrance exam, of which 11 students passed the entrance exam to medical schools such as Hanoi Medical University, Military Medical Academy, Thai Nguyen Medical University, Vinh Medical University, and Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine.

In addition, there are 3 students who passed the entrance exams to military schools such as the Cryptography Academy, Information Officer, Military Engineering Officer, 5 candidates passed the entrance exams to Hanoi University of Science and Technology, 3 students passed the entrance exams to the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications, 4 students passed the entrance exams to the University of Construction, National Economics University, Hanoi Academy of Finance... The number of students with scores of 23 points or higher accounts for nearly 70%. Even the candidate who did not register for university but studied abroad in Korea had an exam score of nearly 21 points, enough to enter a top university.
Previously, the 2006 - 2009 course of Nam Dan 2 High School was not highly rated in terms of quality when the entrance score was just over 10 points. But for this reason, right after enrolling, the school paid great attention to teaching and learning.
For example, in class 12C1, although the homeroom teacher and the subject teachers mostly live far from school, having to travel back and forth nearly 50 kilometers every day, the teachers have never neglected their teaching at school. To improve the quality of the class, the teachers proactively differentiate students according to each grade, subject and depending on each student's ability. In particular, if a student is weak, the teacher will give extra tutoring, and if the student is good, they will continue to help them get used to many difficult types of exercises.

Teacher Tran Thi Thuy - Homeroom teacher of class 12 C1 shared: "Grade 12 is a year of hard work and tireless efforts of the class. I calculated that in just the last few months of semester 2, we had to practice more than 50 questions for each subject. In addition, the class and the school also organized many mock exams for students to practice and get familiar with the exam."
Comparing the mock tests and the results of the National High School Exam, teacher Tran Thi Thuy added: Actually, when I received the results of the students, I was not too surprised because I believe in my students' abilities. Here, the students really have many difficulties, 80% of the students in the class have parents who work in agriculture, but in return, they are very determined and all have the same goal of studying well, passing the university entrance exam to escape poverty. As teachers in the classroom, we have to understand each student's situation and strengths to help them orient their work and choose the right career.
