Midfielder Vo Ngoc Toan: 'I haven't thought about leaving or staying at SLNA'

SLNA was a team that owned many excellent central midfielders at that time such as Hoang Thinh and Quang Tinh, but in his first season playing in V.League 2015, Ngoc Toan had 15 matches before becoming a mainstay of the team in 2016 with 23 matches.
By V.League 2019, Vo Ngoc Toan was truly an indispensable factor in the SLNA midfield when his senior Hoang Van Binh was on the decline of his career. SLNA's defensive midfielder contributed to all 21 matches for SLNA since the beginning of the season and had 1 goal and 3 assists.

Midfielder Vo Ngoc Toan:The team leaders have called some players to listen to their wishes, because there is no sponsor yet so there is no specific work. For now, I want to play well so that the team can achieve high results this season. Currently, my mentality is very comfortable, I have not thought much about this issue. I think that I will just give my all, and what will come will come. Regarding the matter of leaving or staying, like everyone else, I prioritize staying at SLNA.
PV: Currently, SLNA is ranked 4th, but the team's performance in V.League 2019 is generally unstable. What do you think is the reason?
Midfielder Vo Ngoc Toan: In the previous rounds, SLNA did not have good results. My teammates and I felt quite heavy and pressured when looking at the score. Regarding the team, there were quite a lot of injuries, the remaining players were still able to meet the requirements, but Phan Van Duc or Pham Xuan Manh having long-term injuries was generally a pity.

PV: After 5 years of competing in V.League, how does Ngoc Toan feel about his performance this season?
Midfielder Vo Ngoc Toan:Compared to previous seasons, I feel like I am maturing with each match, and my performance is more stable since I just joined the V.League. Playing in the position of a defensive midfielder requires constant movement and a lot of competition, so my physical strength has also become more abundant to meet the requirements of the coaching staff.
PV: What is the secret that helps Ngoc Toan have such confidence and impressive performance recently?
Midfielder Vo Ngoc Toan:What helps me to have a stable performance is my physical strength. First, I was lucky not to have any injuries. Then, Coach Duc Thang created conditions for me to play a lot, and when I play a lot, my mentality and spirit become more stable. In which, the competition mentality is the most stable and important thing. If I go on the field with a comfortable and confident mentality, everything becomes easier.
