Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hoa Binh province requested medical leave
Mr. Bui Trong Dac asked the Standing Committee of Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee for permission to take a long leave to treat heart disease and high blood pressure due to complications of diabetes.
Mr. Dac's resignation application sent a few days ago will be considered by the leaders of Hoa Binh province. The provincial People's Committee will assign a Deputy Director to take charge of work at the Department of Education and Training to replace Mr. Dac, said Mr. Tran Dang Ninh, Deputy Secretary of the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee.
Mr. Ninh affirmed that the medical leave will not affect the process of considering disciplining Mr. Dac for his involvement in cheating in the 2018 national high school exam. The province is completing the dossier to propose disciplining Mr. Dac and sending it to superiors for consideration.
At the same time, the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee will discipline officials and party members whose children's scores were raised in the exam next week.

Up to now, the Security Investigation Agency (Ministry of Public Security) has prosecuted and detained 8 officials and teachers, including Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh (Head of the Department of Examination and Education Quality Assessment), Ms. DiepMarketPinkLien (Deputy Head of Department).
By March 12, 2019, the Ministry of Public Security completed the investigation conclusion, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the assessment scores (re-scoring when there are doubts) of the candidates.
