(Baonghean) - On the occasion of the National Day September 2, the homeland and country are covered with bright red flags and flowers, bustling with joy on the day of the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. In that common joy, special citizens also have their own happiness when their birthday coincides with the National Day of the nation. The maturity of each individual is closely linked to each step of development of the country and homeland.

Captain Nguyen Quang Kien: Name is a wish

Captain Nguyen Quang Kien was born on September 2, 1982 in Bai Son commune, Do Luong district; currently working at the Military Command of Nghe An province. He was born in the most difficult years of the subsidy period, and the fierce traces of the resistance war for national defense are still imprinted on every house and field. In Captain Kien's memory, his childhood was associated with cassava, sweet potatoes, and fields; the worry of food stamps was present in his parents' worries... The whole village and commune seemed to share the same economic situation. "There was a long time when my father was in the army, and my mother stayed home to raise 6 children," he confided.

Over time, with the changes in the socio-economic situation of his hometown, his family's life gradually improved. In December 1986, the 6th Party Congress set out a comprehensive economic renovation policy for the country in the new period, each locality gradually had positive changes. Captain Nguyen Quang Kien grew up with the remarkable growth of his hometown. And later, by chance, he chose the military career to stick with for the rest of his life. He shared: "I studied at the University of Politics, graduated with honors. Then I worked at Regiment 764, then the Tan Ky District Military Command, and now I am an assistant officer at the Provincial Military Command."

“I have the same pride and joy as all Vietnamese people on the National Day of the nation, and besides that, there is a quiet, small joy on my special birthday. I remember my parents once said that naming me Kien was their wish that I would always be loyal to the Fatherland, always be resilient in all the hardships of life. A name that carries many wishes…” - Captain Nguyen Quang Kien shared.

Doctor Pham Van Chung: Proud to be Vietnamese

Master, Doctor Pham Van Chung is originally from Thanh Lam commune, Thanh Chuong district. He is currently Deputy Head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Nghe An General Hospital. He was born on September 2, 1983.

Although he is quite reserved when talking about himself, through contacts, conversations and evaluations from colleagues in the industry, it can be seen that Dr. Pham Van Chung is a responsible and dedicated physician. Born into a family with a tradition of the medical profession, from a young age, the boy Chung was familiar with the white blouse. As a child born in the village, in addition to wandering around the rice fields, Pham Van Chung was also very familiar with the hospital corridors, the flashing emergency lights... After graduating from high school, facing many crossroads for the future, Pham Van Chung chose to study medicine as an inevitable choice.

11 years working in the health sector, countless sad and happy memories, and those sad and happy memories are all associated with patients. “The saddest and most memorable memory is the heart surgery for a colleague’s grandmother in the hospital. That year, she was 81 years old, suffering from heart failure and many other diseases. The first surgery saved her heart, but after 3 days it was blocked again; before she could have another surgery, she could no longer fight…” - Doctor Pham Van Chung confided.

Like his colleagues, every day for Dr. Chung is always a new beginning on the path of improving knowledge and skills, because as medical technology develops, many new diseases are discovered. "If I stop, I will be outdated!" - Dr. Pham Van Chung confided.

Born on September 2, like other people born on this day, joy often comes unexpectedly to him when he receives the exclamation from the interlocutor: "Born on September 2, the same day as National Day. How special!". He said that he never ceases to be proud of being Vietnamese, born and raised in the homeland, a country rich in cultural, historical and revolutionary traditions. Doing a good job every day, living a kind, honest life, being responsible to family and society, to him, that is the most practical way to show gratitude to his fathers' generation who have contributed to protecting the Fatherland, contributing to building a peaceful and prosperous country.

Hoang Ngoc Khanh: Love the history of my homeland

This year, just turned 18 years old and is a new student of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications, FPT University, Hoang Ngoc Khanh (Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City) said that he loves history, loves to explore and research history. It seems that one of the reasons leading to that love comes from his special date of birth: September 2, 2001.

Khanh's parents told him that he was born at 8:20 am on September 2nd, so the family chose to name him Quoc Khanh. However, the last name written on the birth certificate was slightly changed when his father returned home that afternoon and saw his first daughter playing in the yard. "My father asked my sister: What are you playing? My sister said: I'm looking for a pearl, dad! It was fate, the word Ngoc is also very meaningful, so my name was finally combined into Ngoc Khanh," the 18-year-old boy shared.

Compared to his peers, Ngoc Khanh appears to be quite mature and has a clear opinion. When asked about history, the young man did not hesitate to share that many students today do not like history, thinking that it is a dry subject, even somewhat boring; but if people approach history from a different perspective, a different method - not just lectures according to the school curriculum - then they may have more complete emotions with the history of their homeland.

Hoang Ngoc Khanh was born in 2001, at that time, the country had been through 15 years of renovation. Like his friends, he only knew about the fierceness of the wars to protect the Fatherland and the many difficulties of the subsidy period through books, newspapers, movies... Knowing does not necessarily mean understanding everything, but that does not mean being indifferent or forgetting. Ngoc Khanh said, he is aware that each young person today will be the one to continue writing the heroic history of his homeland and country tomorrow, carrying the aspiration for peace and the immortal spirit of the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945 in every step forward in the future./.
