Students in Nghe An highlands bravely save 2 people in flood
(Baonghean.vn) - According to Mr. La Pa Vin - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ta Ca Commune, Ky Son, there was a brave student in the commune who saved the lives of two people swept away by floodwaters.
It is known that at around 2:00 p.m. on September 3, while traveling by motorbike from Canh village, Ta Ca commune to the labor school to prepare for the opening ceremony of the new school year 2019 - 2020, Luong The Manh (born 2002), a 12th grade student of C1 Ky Son High School, residing in Canh village, Ta Ca commune, heard a loud cry for help.
Looking down towards the Nam Mo River, passing through Binh Son 1, Ta Ca Commune, Manh, two students and local people discovered two people being swept away by the floodwaters. Without hesitation, Manh stopped his car and rushed into the floodwaters. With his swimming ability, as well as the rescue skills he learned at school, after drifting more than 300 meters downstream, Manh pulled the two victims swept away by the floodwaters to the riverbank. Then, together with many other local people, he brought them safely to shore.

The two victims saved by Manh were Vi Van Quy (19 years old) and Moong Van Kieu (10 years old), both living in Binh Son 1 village, Ta Ca commune, Ky Son.
