Nghe An fishermen's boat had an accident in Quang Binh, 6 people died and missing
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 5, fishing boat NA93010 TS of Mr. Cao Van Y was staying at Song Giang port (Quang Binh) and was leaving for his hometown when the accident happened.
Mr. Hoang Son - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu District (Nghe An) said that there were 7 crew members on board at that time. When the ship had an accident, captain Nguyen Van Thang was safely rescued by another ship; 1 crew member died and 5 others are missing.

It is known that during the recent storm No. 4, Son Hai commune had 39 vessels taking shelter at Gianh River Port, Quang Binh Province. After storm No. 4 dissipated, 33 vessels returned to anchor at Lach Quen and Lach Thoi Ports, the remaining 6 vessels are still taking shelter in Quang Binh. Among them is Mr. Cao Van Y's vessel.

The Standing Office of the Provincial Search and Rescue Department of Nghe An said: There are currently 6 units searching for the missing people, including 4 commercial ships, Navy Region 3 ships, CN 09 Con Co Quang Tri ship, Hai Van ship (Da Nang Port Authority towing company) and fishing boats of Nghe An fishermen.
