Even though they are in a draw, what did coach Park Hang-seo and the head coach of Thailand say?
(Baonghean.vn) – Holding each other to a draw in the first match of the second qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup, head coach Park Hang-seo of the Vietnam national team and coach Akira Nishino were both satisfied with the 1 point they got and highly rated their opponents.
Despite playing away against Thailand, the Vietnamese team still played quite successfully and earned 1 point after a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes of play. It can be said that Coach Park Hang-seo and his team have completed the task set before coming to Thailand.
Speaking after the match, Coach Park Hang-seo said: “The Vietnam team had a very difficult match. Thailand is a formidable opponent, and we had to play away from home. In this match, we almost lost a few goals but also created some opportunities. It was a really difficult match. As the head coach, I would like to thank the players for their efforts.”
Regarding the yellow card for reacting to the referee, Coach Park said: “Maybe I made a mistake that led to receiving the card. There are times when I act this way on the field, I apologize to you guys.”

Commenting on the players who were unexpectedly in the starting lineup like Tuan Anh and Tien Linh, the Korean coach said: “Tuan Anh is a talented player, so he is on the list. Of course, everyone has weaknesses, but he is a great player. Tien Linh's position should have been Anh Duc's, but before the match he was not in good health. Hong Duy played well because Van Hau had just been absent for 3 days, so his physical condition was not guaranteed.”
Evaluating the Thai national team after the draw, coach Park Hang-seo said: “I think it is impolite to evaluate Thailand's strength at the King's Cup and now. They are still a strong team and have a good position in Asia and Southeast Asia. If I have to say, I think Thailand has really changed under coach Nishino. He is an experienced and capable person. I believe that under Nishino's leadership, Thai football will continue to develop."

About the head coach of the Thai national team, Mr. Akira Nishino said: “We really had certain pressure to advance to the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup. The Thai team had prepared well for the match with Vietnam and this draw result is acceptable.
Vietnam is a tough opponent but we played quite well in this match. Thailand will meet Indonesia soon, this is a very difficult group so we will prepare as best as possible. We will have a meeting to review the experience tomorrow morning. This is only the first match, this result is not bad, I believe good results will come in the future."
