(Baonghean.vn) - More than 300 workers of Wooin Vina Garment Factory gathered in front of the factory gate to demand that the Board of Directors replace the foreman.

From 7:45 a.m. on September 7, due to conflicts between workers and area managers, nearly 300 workers in area 2 of Wooin Vina Garment Factory in Thap - Hong - Ky Industrial Park (Dien Chau district, Nghe An province) did not enter the work lines but gathered outside the factory gate to demand that the board of directors replace the supervisor.

Upon receiving the news, the People's Committee of Dien Chau district, the District Labor Federation, and the district police quickly arrived in time to help workers organize a dialogue with the enterprise and stabilize the situation.

Mr. Pham Duc Cuong - Chairman of the Labor Union of Dien Chau district said: Through dialogue to get opinions from workers and business owners, for the past month in area 2 with 13 production lines, about 300 workers, a new supervisor has been assigned. With a strict, strict and somewhat harsh management style, and speaking without standards, this supervisor has been strongly opposed by workers here.

According to the leaders of Dien Chau district, the workers in area 2 of this factory have not really worked seriously and in accordance with regulations, so there has been a prolonged situation of frustration between the two sides, culminating in a strike of more than 300 workers on the morning of September 7, 2019.

According to Chairman of Dien Chau District People's Committee - Tang Van Luyen: Through the working session, the factory promised to pay attention to correcting the management style of the manager of area 2, ensuring harmony of interests.

“The manager of area 2 committed to have a more appropriate management method, and the factory also received a promise from the workers to strictly follow the regulations set forth by the factory,” said Mr. Luyen.

With that solution, at 9:30 a.m. the same day, the workers dispersed and went home and agreed to return to work on Monday.

Wooin Vina Garment Company Limited (located in Thap-Hong-Ky Industrial Park, Dien Chau District) has been operating since 2012, creating jobs for over 2,300 workers, mainly in Dien Chau.
