A 10-year-old boy was unexpectedly attacked by his uncle, who severed his arm.
While V. was alone in her room, her uncle suddenly attacked her with a knife, repeatedly slashing her, severing her left hand and inflicting several wounds on her right hand and the corner of her left eye.
The police in Son Dong district (Bac Giang province) announced that they are currently holding Hoang Van Liu (49 years old, residing in Giao Liem commune, Son Dong district, Bac Giang province) in custody for investigation into the act of intentionally causing injury.

Earlier, at around 8:00 AM on September 7th, Hoang Van Liu unexpectedly went to his brother's house with a knife and entered his nephew's room. Seeing his nephew, HVV (10 years old), alone in the room, Liu suddenly attacked the child with the knife, repeatedly stabbing him.
As a result, V. suffered the complete severance of her left hand, along with several injuries to her right hand and the corner of her left eye.
Immediately after discovering the incident, relatives took V. to the hospital for emergency treatment and simultaneously reported the matter to the police.
Following the incident, the Son Dong District Police temporarily detained Hoang Van Liu for investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
It is known that Liu is V.'s uncle and lives near the victim's house. The two families had no conflicts, and the man visited the victim's house daily.
Currently, V. is being treated at the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital (Hanoi). Doctors have successfully reattached the child's severed hand, and the victim's health is now stable.
The police are continuing to investigate and determine the cause of the incident.
