The Supreme People's Procuracy (Department 6) has just signed a decision approving the decision to prosecute Mr. Phan Van Vinh (born in 1955, former Head of the Investigation Police Agency, Ministry of Public Security) for the crime of "Making illegal decisions" according to the provisions of Article 371, Clause 2, Penal Code 2015.

When directing the investigation of the case of Truong Huy Lieu and his accomplices for the crimes of "Smuggling" and "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences", Mr. Vinh directed the decision to handle evidence and organize the illegal auction of the wood evidence of the case.
This action causes damage to the interests of the State, the rights and legitimate interests of organizations and individuals, and negatively affects security, social order and safety.
Currently, Mr. Vinh is serving a 9-year prison sentence for "Abusing position and power while performing official duties" according to the prison sentence execution decision of the People's Court of Phu Tho province.
