Women's Union of Provincial Military CommandNghe An,On September 10, organized a Mid-Autumn Festival program and a "Nutrition Meal" activity for children at Mother Teresa Calaita Orphan and Disabled Children Center at Tan Huong Parish, Bo Son Parish, Nghi Van Commune, Nghi Loc District.

Mother Teresa Calaita Orphanage and Disabled Children Center is currently raising and caring for more than 40 orphaned and disabled children, children of Catholics and non-Catholics of different ages and circumstances inside and outside the province.

The Women's Union of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command organized a "Nutrition Meal" for children at the center; At the same time, it donated clothes, candy, fruits; and coordinated with the center to organize a Mid-Autumn Festival art program for the children.

District Youth Union and Youth Union Council of Quynh Luu districtCoordinated with Quynh Thang Commune Youth Union to organize a ceremony to present a playground for children at Quynh Thang Kindergarten on the occasion of the new school year and to award scholarships to orphans.

The playground project (worth 5 million VND) was donated by youth union members of the mountainous commune of Quynh Thang to the kindergarten from used tires.

On this occasion, in order to encourage and motivate children with difficult circumstances to excel in their studies, the District Youth Union and the Youth Union of Quynh Luu District presented 17 study encouragement gifts, each worth 300,000 VND, to orphaned students of Quynh Thang Kindergarten and Primary School.

Also in Quynh Luu, District People's Committeecame to give money to support house construction for Truong Hai Nam's family, village 2, Son Hai commune.

The family of Truong Hai Nam (born in 2015) is poor. He lost his father when he was only 10 months old. His mother, Tran Thi Phuong, suffered from spinal curvature and had just returned from surgery at the hospital. The family has been living in a dilapidated house for a while now.

In order to share the family's situation, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district allocated 50 million VND from the Children's Support Fund to help the family build a new house. In addition, the Fatherland Front of Son Hai commune coordinated with the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station to support money and working days worth 20 million VND, the Women's Union of the district and commune supported 20 million VND, and Dong Yen Pagoda (Quynh Thuan commune) supported 30 million VND. Up to now, after more than 2 months of construction, the house with a total value of 200 million VND has been completed and put into use right on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Ms. Que Thi Hoa is a person with congenital disabilities, her family is poor and she has 2 young children. In the face of her family's difficult circumstances, the Fatherland Front of the commune supported 11 million VND, together with the savings, Ms. Hoa bought a breeding calf worth 14 million VND to develop livestock farming.
