Con Cuong district won first prize in the Nghe An province's Ethnic Minority Arts Performance Festival

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of September 11, the 5th Ethnic Minority Art Performance Festival in Nghe An province closed after 2 exciting days with the first prize going to the mass art troupe from Con Cuong district. This is also the locality with the contestant who won the first prize in the "Beauty of Ethnic Minorities" contest.

The Nghe An Ethnic Minority Arts Festival is considered an important cultural event to honor the intangible cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities in Nghe An province. In particular, the festival is also an important activity to welcome the 3rd Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Nghe An province in 2019.

The festival gathered 10 mass art troupes from Que Phong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Tan Ky, Nghia Dan districts and Thai Hoa town.

During the 2 days (September 10-11), nearly 350 extras brought 50 special performances with genres: singing and dancing, solo singing, group singing, independent dancing... In which, many excerpts of festival rituals were successfully recreated by the troupes such as the Oc Kho ceremony, the Bride-Welcoming ceremony, the Long Tong ceremony of the Thai people, gong dance, the Boc Mo ceremony of the Tho people, the wife-capturing custom of the Mong people...

The performances were elaborately invested, demonstrating the dedication of the actors and artists to the cultural values ​​of their people. Thereby spreading and imparting the good traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities to the public, contributing to preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of ethnic minorities in the province.

The closing ceremony of the festival consisted of two main parts: the performance of more than 10 of the most outstanding performances and the display of national costumes by 19 mountain girls in the "Beauty of Ethnic Minorities" contest.

At the end of the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the high-achieving Mass Art Troupes. Accordingly, the first prize went to the Con Cuong District Art Troupe; the second prize went to the Que Phong and Tan Ky District Art Troupes; the third prize went to the Ky Son, Quy Hop, and Tuong Duong District Art Troupes; and the encouragement prize went to the Quy Chau, Anh Son, Nghia Dan District Art Troupes and Thai Hoa Town Art Troupes.

Regarding the Ethnic Minority Beauty Contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to contestant Ha Thao Danh (Con Cuong district); Second Prize to 2 contestants: Mua Thi Phuong (Ky Son district), Lu Thi Liem (Tuong Duong district); Third Prize to 3 contestants: Vu Thi Hoai Thuong (Thai Hoa town), Ha Thi Giang (Que Phong district), Le Thi Nhung (Nghia Dan district) and 13 contestants won Encouragement Prizes.
