On Instagram, the Vietnamese-American goalkeeper’s girlfriend shared that he was playing with his dog on the beach, playing on a swing, and taking a canoe to sightsee. Yen Xuan has a hobby of raising dogs and the dog is a close friend who is always present on her outings.
During the match between Thailand and Vietnam on September 5, Yen Xuan did not go to the stadium but stayed home watching TV with her dog to cheer for Van Lam. The 26-year-old goalkeeper played excellently, helping the Vietnamese team keep a clean sheet.
Currently, the Thai League is still in a break for the Thai team to compete in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. The tournament will return on September 14 with matches in round 26.
