On the morning of September 12, the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district held a conference to review 10 years of building the all-people national defense, period 2009 - 2019. Attending and speaking at the ceremony was Colonel Tran Van Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command.

Over the past 10 years, Party committees and authorities at all levels from district to grassroots have thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented Resolution No. 28 of the 10th Politburo on“Building provinces and centrally-run cities into solid defense zones in the new situation”.

Promote the advisory role of the Military, Police, and departments, branches, and organizations of the district in building the potential of the defense area. Complete the socio-economic development targets, improve people's lives, maintain political security, social order and safety. The overall quality and combat strength of the local armed forces are improved, truly becoming a reliable political force of the local Party Committee and government.

From 2009 to 2019, the district recruited more than 1,200 citizens to join the army, handing over to training units to achieve 100% of the assigned targets. In particular, from 2009 to now, the Prime Minister has paid more than 13 billion VND under Decision 142/QD-TTg to 2,971 beneficiaries; settled one-time subsidy payments under Decision 62 to 2,142 beneficiaries and Decision 49 to 3,347 beneficiaries with more than 16 billion VND. Thousands of working days have been spent helping people build new rural areas, thousands of officers and soldiers of the district's armed forces and technical equipment have overcome the consequences of natural disasters...
