3-year-old child left in school bus for 7 hours
Nguyen Tan Loi, 3 years old, panicked and had a fever after being left for 7 hours in a car parked in front of a preschool in Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province.
Loi studied at the Do Re Mi private preschool group in Hoan Son commune, Tien Du district, owned by Ms. Duong Thi Hop (42 years old, residing in Minh Dao commune, Tien Du district).
According to the report of Bac Ninh Provincial Police and Tien Du District Department of Education and Training, at 6:30 a.m. on September 13, Mr. Nguyen Cong Ty (43 years old, Mrs. Hop's husband) drove a Ford Transit with license plate 99B - 010.08 to pick up 9 children, arriving at Do Re Mi class at 8:00 a.m. Mr. Ty parked the car, and with the teachers took the children to class, but Loi was forgotten.
The driver then parked the car on the sidewalk in front of Do Re Mi (under a tree and opened the driver's window 10 cm). At 3:45 p.m. the same day, Mr. Ty was preparing to take the child home when he discovered Loi's jeans near the car door so he went in to check. He saw Loi lying on his back on the floor of the third row of seats from the top.

Loi was taken to the clinic in Hoan Son commune for first aid, then transferred to Bac Ninh Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital and the National Children's Hospital.
On the morning of September 16, Dr. Ta Anh Tuan - Head of the Department of Internal Medicine Intensive Care, National Children's Hospital, said that the 3-year-old patient was admitted to the hospital on the afternoon of September 13 in a state of heat shock, panic, fever, hypoglycemia, dehydration... Today, the child is conscious, but has signs of pneumonia and needs further treatment.
Also this morning, Chairman of Tien Du District People's Committee (Bac Ninh Province) Nguyen Xuan Thanh held an urgent meeting to direct the district's functional departments to focus on clarifying and handling information about this incident.Tien Du District People's Committee will soon announce official information about this.
On the morning of September 16, Mr. Pham Dang Thuyen - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Tien Du district, said that the independent, private Do Re Mi nursery group was licensed to operate by the People's Committee of Hoan Son commune since October 2018, with about 50-60 students and 12 teachers in charge. Today, the People's Committee of Hoan Son commune has suspended the group's activities, pending verification results from the police.
Tien Du District Department of Education and Training will support students of Do Re Mi class to study at preschool groups or public schools, depending on the family's wishes.
