Fishing boat explosion at night injured 5 people, 3 dead and missing
The People's Committee of Hai Chau commune, Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa province said: A fishing boat explosion occurred in the commune, killing 2 people, leaving 1 person missing and 5 people injured.
Earlier, at 9:00 p.m. on September 23, a loud explosion was heard from a fishing boat anchored at the fishing port in Hai Chau commune (Tinh Gia district), then the whole boat caught fire. The owner of this fishing boat is Mr. Le Xuan Binh, from Hai Chau commune.

Immediately after receiving the news, the fire prevention, fighting and search and rescue force of Thanh Hoa province arrived at the scene to put out the fire, search for the missing people and take the victims to the emergency room.
By the early morning of September 24, the authorities had found the bodies of two brothers, Le Xuan Hieu, born in 1962, and Le Xuan Binh, born in 1976, both residing in Hai Chau commune. One person is still missing and five others were injured and are being treated at Tinh Gia District General Hospital.
According to initial assessment, the cause of the fishing boat explosion may have been a gas tank explosion leading to a boat fire.
Local authorities are coordinating with functional forces to search for missing victims and investigate the cause of the fishing boat explosion.
