(Baonghean.vn) - Luong Van Xa "imported" drugs from Laos and then built a hut in the forest to sell to addicts. Xa always had a gun in his hand, ready to shoot back when surrounded and arrested.

In early September 2019, through intelligence work, Ky Son District Police (Nghe An) discovered a tent set up to illegally buy and sell drugs in the border area between Tuong Duong and Ky Son districts.

This shack specializes in supplying drugs to addicts located on the border of these two districts, especially Chieu Luu and Luong Minh communes. Faced with that situation, Ky Son District Police have established a special project to fight.

Through the investigation and synchronous use of professional measures, the Task Force identified the main ringleader as Luong Van Xa (born in 1967, residing in Dua village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district). As a drug addict, Xa regularly colluded with Lao people to buy drugs for use and to sell to addicts.

Luong Van Xa was very reckless and had many sophisticated tricks. To avoid the authorities, he often chose transaction locations to import "goods" in dangerous mountainous areas, often late at night or early in the morning.

In addition, the subjects did not meet each other directly but agreed to hide the "goods" in a place with a special symbol, after successfully taking the money, they would meet at another location and time to deliver the money. It is worth mentioning that Xa always kept weapons with him in order to fight back against the authorities if discovered.

At around 8:00 p.m. on September 25, at Khe Mat (in Dua village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district), detectives discovered Luong Van Xa with a black handbag. Immediately, the task force rushed in to arrest the subject.

Suddenly, he pointed his gun at the police but was promptly subdued by the scouts and had his weapon taken away. Knowing there was no way back, the subject continued to resist fiercely, struggling to escape into the deep forest but was unsuccessful.

At the scene, the Investigation Team seized 3,500 synthetic drug pills, 150 grams of heroin, 1 homemade gun, 1 switchblade knife and 1 small scale.

The case is currently under further investigation.
