In the first 6 months of 2019 alone, the whole province had 23 cases of school violence, including many quite serious cases such as the fight between a group of female students and another student at Dien Kim and Dien Hung Secondary Schools, the case of a 5th grade student at Cua Nam 1 Primary School stabbing a friend with a knife, the case of a primary school student in Nghi Loc being sexually abused...
Besides, the forms and manifestations of violence are quite complicated and occur at all levels of education such as physical violence, mental violence, violence of neglect or indifferent treatment of children.
From this reality, at the workshop there were 45 presentations from departments, branches and units, focusing on analyzing the current state of the educational environment and the causes that make the educational environment unsafe and unhealthy.
Specifically, according to delegates, in addition to causes from students such as age, personality, and gender, there are many causes from the school.
Currently, there are many schools that mainly focus on cultural education and exams, but not on skills and personality education; some teachers lack emotional management skills and lack positive disciplinary education methods.

With the above shortcomings, the discussions also proposed many solutions to build a safe, healthy, friendly educational environment and prevent school violence. These include establishing school advisory groups, organizing cultural and sports activities, enhancing life skills teaching and promoting the role of school leaders.
