Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee: Provincial department leaders 'give advice' to the province on socio-economic development

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son emphasized that the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee organized a meeting between the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders at the department level and equivalent in provincial agencies, aiming to unify awareness and viewpoints, convey the will, political determination and wishes of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to fulfill at the highest level the goals and targets set out in the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress; prepare for determining the directions, goals and tasks of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

At the same time, the Provincial Party Standing Committee grasped the thoughts and aspirations about working conditions, personnel work, and policy mechanisms; listened to and discussed the reflections, recommendations, and proposed solutions of the team of department-level leaders and equivalents in the coming time.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son affirmed: With the spirit of strong and drastic innovation in the leadership, direction, supervision and administration of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee, together with the efforts of all levels, sectors, cadres, party members, civil servants and all people in the province, Nghe An has overcome many difficulties and challenges, achieving very positive and comprehensive results in all fields with many bright spots in the socio-economic picture.

During the 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 26 of the 11th Politburo on the direction and tasks for developing Nghe An province until 2020, the economy grew quite rapidly, the gross domestic product increased by an average of 8.0%; in 2018 compared to 2013, the economic scale was 1.44 times higher; the average gross regional domestic product (GRDP) per capita increased by 1.57 times.

The economic structure has shifted in the right direction; budget revenue in 2018 reached 14,052 billion VND, an increase of 1.7 times compared to 2013. The new rural construction program has achieved many results, with 218/431 communes in the province meeting new rural standards.

The investment and business environment has been significantly improved; investment attraction has achieved positive results in terms of quantity, scale and quality of projects. The key economic zones in the North and South of the province have developed in the right direction, creating momentum and strong impact on economic restructuring.

The cultural and social fields have achieved many important results. Education and training continue to affirm their leading position in the country. Health care has developed equally at all levels. The work of job creation, hunger eradication and poverty reduction has achieved positive results.

The material and spiritual life of the people has been improved. National defense has been ensured, borders, seas and islands have been firmly protected, political security, order and social safety have been maintained. Foreign relations and integration have been increasingly expanded and their effectiveness has been enhanced.

The work of building the Party and the political system has been given attention. The leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee and the quality of cadres and Party members have been improved. The activities of the government, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations have seen many innovations.

Solidarity, unity, cooperation and responsibility in Party committees, Party organizations and political systems at all levels are promoted, creating trust and consensus among the people.

Affirming the achievements of our province in recent times, at the same time, we must realize that in the new context, with many difficulties and challenges, there needs to be high political determination; new, creative, drastic and more effective ways of thinking and doing of the leaders of Party committees and authorities; more determination, responsibility, creativity, drastic and more effective of the leaders of Party committees and authorities; determination, responsibility and creativity in advising and implementing policies and mechanisms of the team of civil servants.

Especially the team of leaders and managers of provincial agencies to effectively promote existing resources, create new impulses for the province's socio-economic development to be faster, more effective, more sustainable, and make a breakthrough in 2019, 2020 and the following years, worthy of being the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

The team of leaders at the department level and equivalent of provincial agencies plays a very important role in advising on policies and strategies on socio-economic development, Party building and the political system of the province; at the same time, they are also the ones advising on the development of programs and plans for implementation.

This is the first time the Provincial Party Standing Committee has organized such an important meeting.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that delegates uphold their sense of responsibility, promote their intelligence, closely follow practical issues and activities at agencies and units, focus on exchanging, discussing, sharing, and giving advice on solutions and long-term strategic directions for the province in socio-economic development.

From there, to unify will and action, jointly lead, direct and organize the successful implementation of key goals and tasks for socio-economic development, building a strong political system in the coming time.
