Tri Le is the only commune in Que Phong district where Mong people live. In this mountainous border commune, there are 10 Mong villages. Most of them live in remote areas. Photo: Ho Phuong |

All 10 Mong villages in Tri Le commune have no electricity, and transportation is extremely difficult. Most women aged 35 and older in these villages are illiterate. Many cannot speak the common language. Studying far away and having backward customs and practices are two reasons why most Mong women are illiterate or re-illiterate. Photo: Ho Phuong |

Captain Phan Van Toan said: Seeing the practical benefits, the women went to school regularly and on time. The class started at 7 p.m., but many women came very early. Despite frequent power outages, the women still attended school regularly. In just a short time, many people were able to recognize almost all the letters. Photo: Ho Phuong |

Mr. Le Van Giap - Chairman of Que Phong District People's Committee said: In recent years, many classes have been opened by units in the area to help ethnic people access the written word, which means accessing civilization and the development of society. From there, it is easier to propagate and disseminate policies and laws of the Party and State. With the hope that the lives of ethnic people in general and women in particular will change day by day. Photo: Ho Phuong |
