Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee becomes Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee

This morning (October 19), in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee announced the Politburo's decision on implementing personnel work.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh was assigned as Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, replacing Mr. Le Thanh Quang who was dismissed from his position to receive treatment for a serious illness.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh was born in 1964, from Thai Binh province, and is a doctor of law. Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh has many years of experience working at the Government Office, holding the position of Director of the Secretariat - Editorial Department, Assistant to the Prime Minister.

In September 2011, the Prime Minister decided to appoint Mr. Dinh as Deputy Head of the Government Office. At the 12th Party Congress, he was elected to the Party Central Committee.

At the National Assembly session in July 2016, Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh was elected as a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and has held the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee until now.

He is currently a National Assembly Delegate of the National Assembly Delegation of Khanh Hoa province.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh said that being assigned by the Politburo to take on the position of Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, a locality with rich development potential and a particularly important position in security and defense, is a great honor and a very heavy responsibility.

Taking on his new position, Mr. Dinh said he will regularly practice his mettle and working style, strictly implementing the Party's principles, especially the principles of democratic centralism, objectivity, openness, and transparency in leadership, direction, and administration.

The Politburo also decided to let Mr. Le Thanh Quang stop holding the position of Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term. Mr. Le Thanh Quang, born in 1960, in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.

Mr. Le Thanh Quang is a 4/4 war invalid, member of the Party Central Committee, terms XI-XII, and has held the position of Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee from 2010 to present.

Mr. Le Thanh Quang has repeatedly sent applications to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Central agencies requesting early retirement due to health reasons. It is known that Mr. Quang suffered from a serious illness and had to go abroad for treatment many times, so he submitted an application to resign from the position of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary to continue his treatment.

To ensure direct, comprehensive, regular and continuous leadership, the Politburo appointed Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh is a military officer with a PhD in Law, has held many different positions, has exemplary political qualities, morals, and a pure lifestyle.

Previously, in August 2019, at the 38th session, the Central Inspection Commission concluded that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Party Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee were irresponsible, lax in leadership, direction, inspection and supervision, allowing many serious violations and shortcomings in land management and use and implementation of construction investment projects.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Party Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also violated Party regulations and State laws on land allocation, land lease, forest allocation, forest lease, bidding, investment, architectural planning, construction, finance, and taxes; causing very serious consequences, causing huge losses of assets and the State budget.

In particular, Mr. Le Thanh Quang must take primary responsibility for the violations and shortcomings of the Standing Committee of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee. Mr. Le Thanh Quang's violations are serious enough to require consideration and disciplinary action./.
