Michael Sturmer, a German military expert, analyzed in the German newspaper Die Welt that after the US military withdrew from Syria, no one can stop Moscow from taking the lead in the "big game" in this region.
"President Putin has achieved what most great military leaders throughout history have dreamed of: victory without war, without firing a shot," Sturmer wrote.
Plekhanov Oleg Glazunov, Associate Professor of Political Science and Sociology, Association of Military Political Scientists, expressed his opinion that recognizing Russia's victory in Syria means clearly pointing out the failure of US military policy in the Middle East.
"The US administration's policy in the Middle East is like an 'elephant in a small shop'. The US has sought to provoke everyone, even its military allies. Russia's victory in Syria means the US' defeat," said Oleg Glazunov.
According to Mr. Oleg Glazunov, the whole world positively evaluates Russia's actions not only in Syria, but also in the Middle East in general. Russia has demonstrated its strength and ability to solve the world's hot issues, including the fight against terrorism.
"Russia has also shown that it can protect its interests in the Middle East without abandoning its allies. Russia's influence has spread not only in the Middle East, but throughout the world," said an expert from the Association of Military Political Scientists.
