(Baonghean.vn) - The Navy awarded a Certificate of Merit to the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and comrade Kha Van Tam - Permanent Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee was commended for his outstanding achievements in coordinating propaganda work on seas and islands.

On the morning of October 25, in Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province, the Navy held a conference to review 10 years of coordination in sea and island propaganda between the Navy and 63 provinces, cities and 15 agencies and units (2009 - 2019 period).

The delegation of Nghe An province was led by comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department.

Over the past 10 years, thoroughly grasping and implementing the Party's resolutions and directives, the State's policies and laws, the Navy has worked with localities, agencies and units to comprehensively and synchronously deploy contents and solutions to promote coordination in propaganda and sea and island affairs to achieve quality and practical effectiveness.

Every year, the Navy coordinates with provinces to organize propaganda about the sea and islands for nearly 200,000 people; organizes more than 12,700 reporters from news agencies to visit and encourage officers and soldiers on duty at sea; penetrate reality, collect documents to write news and articles reflecting the activities of the Navy on mass media.

Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia praised the results achieved; at the same time, he emphasized that in the coming time, it is necessary to regularly direct and orient propaganda work on seas and islands.

On this occasion, the Navy awarded Certificates of Merit to 54 collectives and 32 individuals with outstanding achievements in coordinating propaganda work on seas and islands, of which Nghe An province was honored to have 1 collective, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and 1 individual, comrade Kha Van Tam - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, awarded.
