Regulations on age for re-election of Party committees and authorities for new terms
The time to calculate the age of participation in Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations at the central level is September 2020.
The Party Central Committee has just issued Conclusion No. 60 of the Politburo on the age of re-election to the government and the professional qualifications and political theory of personnel participating in Party committees at all levels for the 2020-2025 term.

Accordingly, the determination of age and time for calculating the age for re-election to authorities at all levels is based on Point 3.3 and Point 3.2, Section 3, Part II of Directive No. 35-CT/TW, dated May 30, 2019 of the Politburo on party congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Congress of the Party to guide implementation, ensuring consistency in the political system.
Specifically, the time to calculate the age of participation in Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations for the grassroots level is April 2020; district level and equivalent is June 2020; and central level is September 2020. The time to calculate the age of participation in leadership positions of the People's Council, People's Committee, and National Assembly delegation is May 2021. The time to calculate the age of participation in leadership positions of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations is the time of congresses at all levels of each organization.
Regarding the age of participation in Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, according to Directive 35, personnel participating in Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in general for the first time must be of working age for at least 2 terms, at least 1 full term.
The personnel recommended for re-election to the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in general must be of working age for a full term, and must have at least half of the term (30 months) remaining at the time of calculating the age to participate in the Party Committee at each level and the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at the time of election. The personnel of the Party Central Committee members will be studied, considered and submitted to the Central Executive Committee for decision by the Politburo.
Regarding the review of professional qualifications and political theories of personnel for planning, appointment, nomination and nomination to participate in Party committees at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, in accordance with Directive No. 35-CT/TW, personnel must have professional qualifications and political theories that meet the requirements of assigned tasks and according to the regulations of the Party and the State. Diplomas and certificates issued by educational institutions of all types and forms of training in the national education system have the same legal value./.
