This activity contributes positively to raising people's awareness of irrigation work and awareness in maintaining environmental hygiene in public places, ready to respond to all storm and flood situations.
At the launching ceremony, Vinh City People's Committee assigned specific targets on the volume of excavation, dredging and solidification of canals in the fields and inner cities and environmental sanitation to 25/25 wards and communes in the area. Special attention was paid to localities that have been frequently flooded in recent times.
On this occasion, Vinh City awarded Certificates of Merit to organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the 2018 national campaign to mobilize the entire population to do irrigation work.
It is worth noting that in recent years, Vinh City has always been in a state of severe flooding every time there is heavy rain, pollution in roads, residential areas... Therefore, flood control work is an issue that needs more attention.

The volume achieved includes: dredging and excavating construction soil 132,663 m3; dredging drainage channels, internal drainage 1,329 m3; building and repairing regional and plot banks 20,952 m3; making internal traffic 167,700 m3; pouring graded roads 96,614 m3; grass cutting, clearing, and water fern picking area 930,692 m2... The total value of the irrigation campaign is estimated at over 20 billion VND.
