75 exemplary parishioners were honored by Hung Nguyen district as 'Good people, good deeds'
(Baonghean.vn) - At the Conference to commend the role models of "Good people, good deeds" among Catholics in Hung Nguyen district, there were 75 Catholics with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of the whole people uniting to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
DayOn October 30, Hung Nguyen district organized a conference to honor "Good people, good deeds" among Catholics in the period 2015 - 2020. Attending the conference were representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of Hung Nguyen district; Chairmen of the Fatherland Front of 17 communes where Catholics live and 75 typical examples of outstanding Catholics.

In Hung Nguyen area, there are 6 parishes, 32 chapels, 1 monastery, 65,233 households of parishioners living in 17/23 communes. Over the past 5 years, Hung Nguyen parishioners have actively developed the economy, built new rural areas; people have donated more than 5,000 m2land, demolished 2,100 meters of fence, contributed thousands of working days, 22 billion VND, contributed to building 15 new cultural houses, 15 kilometers of roads, irrigation canal system; renovated and repaired 36 solidarity houses for poor households. The whole district has 18,477 Catholic households achieving the title of cultural family.

The typical examples of "Good people, good deeds" among Catholics honored this time are pioneers in local movements. They are examples of spreading good deeds for the community; living a good life, respecting God and loving the country.
Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, Catholics in Hung Nguyen district will continue to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws, compete in economic development, build new rural areas, and live a good life and a good religion./.
