The Central Inspection Committee also decided to review the disciplinary action taken in a number of cases in Hoa Binh and Kon Tum provinces that were not commensurate with the content, nature, and level of violations according to Party regulations.

On October 31, the Central Inspection Commission issued a notice on the 40th session.

The content is as follows: From October 28 to 30, 2019, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Commission held its 40th meeting. Comrade Tran Cam Tu - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission chaired the meeting.

At this session, the Central Inspection Commission reviewed and concluded the following contents:

1. On the results of monitoring the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and some comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committees of Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, and Soc Trang provinces in leading, directing, and implementing the Working Regulations; organization and personnel work; land management and use; implementation of investment projects and procurement of public assets.

Through supervision, the Central Inspection Commission pointed out advantages, limitations, and shortcomings and required Party organizations and Party members under supervision to seriously review, learn from experience, and promptly take measures to overcome and correct them.

At the same time, the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committees of Hung Yen and Nam Dinh provinces is required to conduct inspections when there are signs of violations by a number of Party committees and organizations in leading and directing the implementation of land management and use; investment projects and public asset procurement.

2. Regarding the results of the inspection of the implementation of inspection, supervision and discipline enforcement tasks within the Party by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee of the provinces of Hoa Binh, Kon Tum, Kien Giang and Hau Giang. Through the inspection, the Central Inspection Committee pointed out the advantages, limitations, shortcomings and requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee of the above provinces to learn from experience and promptly take measures to overcome and correct this work.

3. Discipline the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group for violations concluded at the 39th session of the Central Inspection Committee. Considering the content, nature, level, and consequences of the violations; based on the Party's regulations on disciplinary action against Party organizations and Party members:

- The Central Inspection Committee proposed that the Secretariat consider and discipline comrade Bui Ngoc Bao - former member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, former Party Secretary, former Chairman of the Board of Directors, former General Director of the Group; proposed that the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc discipline the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group for the 2010-2015 term.

- The Central Inspection Commission decided to take disciplinary action by removing from all positions in the Party comrade Nguyen Quang Tuan - former Party Committee member, former Party Cell Secretary, former Chairman and Director of Petrolimex Singapore Company; warning comrade Tran Van Thinh - former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, former member of the Board of Directors, former General Director; reprimanding comrade Tran Minh Hai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and comrade Nguyen Thanh Son - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, member of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group.

4. Pursuant to the Party's regulations on disciplining Party members, the Central Inspection Commission decided to discipline Lieutenant General Trinh Van Thong with a warning because during his tenure as a member of the Party Committee Standing Committee and Deputy Director General of the General Department of Security, he advised the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to issue documents on professional units that were not in accordance with regulations and violated the law on protecting State secrets.

5. Also at this session, the Central Inspection Commission reviewed and decided on a number of other important contents./.
