Nghe An: 16 prizes will be awarded for the contest to learn about traffic safety laws
(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from the Organizing Committee of the contest "Learning about traffic safety laws and providing and using information on the Internet" online on the electronic information portal of Nghe An province in 2019, at the end of the rounds, 16 prizes will be awarded to individuals and groups with quality entries.
On the morning of November 11, at Quynh Luu 4 High School, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee held a launching ceremony for the contest "Learning about traffic safety laws and providing and using information on the Internet" online on Nghe An province's electronic information portal in 2019.
Attending the event were Deputy Heads of the Organizing Committee of the contest: Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications; Dao Cong Loi - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training. Representatives of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of Quynh Luu district and a large number of staff, teachers and students of Quynh Luu 4 High School.

Before the contest launch ceremony, the organizers held a memorial service for the victims of traffic accidents, with the message "Remembering those who left - For those who stayed behind", to express sympathy for the unfortunate people. Through that, each person reminded themselves, their relatives and friends about the importance of strictly complying with traffic safety laws and regulations.
The contest "Learning about traffic safety laws and providing and using information on the Internet" online on Nghe An province's electronic information portal in 2019 aims to raise awareness among youth union members, students and people about obeying traffic laws, preventing accidents, and being cultured when participating in traffic.
At the same time, be aware of using and exploiting information on the internet in a legal, effective, healthy way, bringing practical meaning to yourself and society. Besides, minimize negative manifestations and conflicts arising in online communication.

The contest officially started on November 11 and will last for 4 weeks. Contestants are Vietnamese organizations and individuals, foreigners currently living, working and studying in Nghe An. In particular, it is for high school students and university students in the whole province. Each week, the organizing committee will finalize the results once with 16 prizes, including 1 first prize worth 2 million VND, a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and 1 weekly prize for the collective.
There are also 5 collective prizes for units with the largest number of entries, high quality entries, and the most awards over the 4 weeks of competition. Each collective prize is awarded a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and a cash prize of 3 million VND.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications emphasized: Requesting departments, branches, agencies, units, schools, students in the whole province to seriously and extensively deploy and actively respond to the contest; promote information and propaganda work so that all people understand and participate. From there, create a strong shift in the awareness of self-consciousness in complying with the law on traffic safety and order among the people and enhance responsibility in providing, using and exploiting information on the Internet to ensure effectiveness.
At the ceremony, the Provincial People's Committee awarded 100 high-quality helmets to 100 students of Quynh Luu 4 High School. At the same time, the first 10 students of the school also started the competition.
