Appraising public investment projects, Nghe An province 'saved' more than 349 billion VND
(Baonghean.vn) - A report by the People's Committee of Nghe An province shows that through investment, bidding, and project appraisal activities, in 2019, the province "saved" more than 349 billion VND.
Specifically in the field of investment project appraisal, technical economic reports, construction drawing design - estimates: The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has appraised 104 projects; the total estimated value submitted for appraisal is 652 billion VND; after appraisal, it was reduced by 58 billion VND (reaching 8.9%).
The Department of Transport has appraised 233 projects; the total estimated value submitted for appraisal is 2,108.2 billion VND; after appraisal, the reduction is: 39.3 billion VND.
The Department of Construction has appraised 118 projects; the total estimated value submitted for appraisal is 1,358 billion VND; after appraisal, it was reduced by 83.27 billion VND.
The district People's Committee has appraised 1,100 projects; the total estimated value submitted for appraisal is 1,551 billion VND; after appraisal, it was reduced by 62.34 billion VND (reaching 4%).

The bidding work has been implemented seriously and in accordance with regulations, and investors have been inspected in choosing the bidding method. The division of bidding packages, bidding prices, contractor selection methods, project implementation progress and funding sources for the bidding package have been strictly assessed and in accordance with regulations.
Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has a total of 30 bidding packages; the total approved bidding package price is 1,165 billion VND; through bidding, it is reduced by 13 billion VND; the Department of Transport has a total of 47 bidding packages; the total approved bidding package price is 210.47 billion VND; through bidding, it is reduced by 792 million VND.
The district People's Committee has a total of 400 bidding packages with total approved bidding price: 933.52 billion VND; through bidding reduction: 7.28 billion VND.
The project settlement work has basically been completed and the units have paid attention to speeding up the progress and improving the quality. Specifically:
The Department of Finance appraised and approved the final settlement of completed projects under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee for a total of 303 projects; the total proposed final settlement investment cost is VND 5,847.51 billion; reduced after appraisal by VND 38.67 billion.
The work of appraisal and approval of final settlement of completed projects under the authority of the District People's Committee has a total of 1,158 projects; the total proposed final settlement investment cost is 1,551.57 billion VND; the investment cost reduced after appraisal: 45.87 billion VND (reaching 2.95%).
