Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue: Promoting national solidarity, joining hands to build a prosperous life

On the morning of November 16, Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue - Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister attended the National Great Unity Day with the people of Tan Lap 1 hamlet, Nghi Quang commune, Nghi Loc district. Accompanying him were Comrade Ngo Sach Thuc - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and representatives of relevant ministries, departments and branches.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, representatives of relevant departments, branches and Nghi Loc district.

Also attending the National Great Unity Day in Tan Lap 1 hamlet were Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long - Bishop of Vinh Diocese; Most Venerable Thich Tho Lac - Member of the Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Executive Council, Head of the Central Cultural Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province.

Compete in labor, production, "living a good life and a good religion"

Tan Lap 1 is a Catholic hamlet, consisting of 219 households and 950 people. Implementing the motto "Living a good life and following good religion", in recent times, the people have lived in solidarity, harmony and have unanimously and effectively carried out many patriotic emulation movements.

In particular, in the process of building new rural areas, the Party Committee, the government and the people have joined hands to contribute nearly 400 million VND in human and material resources and thousands of working days to build 2 important inner-village roads and many essential works. Village roads and alleys are clean and the environment is gradually becoming green, clean and beautiful.

With dynamism, creativity and the construction of many sustainable economic directions in exploitation, aquaculture and the development of comprehensive farms and ranches, the lives of the people here are increasingly improving. In 2019, the total production value of the hamlet exceeded the set plan when it reached more than 32.5 billion VND; the total average income per capita reached 36.2 million VND/year, an increase of more than 3.5 million VND compared to 2018.

In particular, the security and order situation of the hamlet has always been maintained for many years with the motto "A good Catholic is first and foremost a good citizen". The whole hamlet is always united, determined to fight against evils from entering the area, together participating in reconciling internal conflicts, building a mass movement to participate in protecting the security of the Fatherland. Thanks to that, Tan Lap 1 hamlet has become the leading flag contributing many important achievements in implementing the economic - social - cultural goals of Nghi Quang commune in general, Nghi Loc district in particular.

Promoting national unity

Delighted with the many advances of Tan Lap 1 hamlet, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue highly appreciated the people's tireless efforts to comprehensively develop the local economy, culture and society. In particular, the people in the hamlet are always united, comply with the village rules, take care of their children's education, and organize many meaningful social activities to strengthen the village and neighborhood ties.

In the coming time, he hopes that the Party Committee, government and people of Tan Lap 1 hamlet will continue to well implement the policies of the Party and State, live a "good life, good religion"; actively respond to the campaign "All people build new rural areas, civilized urban areas"; pay attention to creating a favorable environment for people to compete in economic development, improve their lives, strive to have no more poor households and quickly reach the new rural finish line.

Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue suggested that the people and local authorities continue to promote democracy, maintain discipline, live and work according to the law; well implement the democratic regulations at the grassroots level; widely propagate and disseminate the Party and State's guidelines, policies and laws to cadres, party members and people of all walks of life to create high consensus and unity in ideology and action in organizing the implementation of the set goals.

The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that when the Nghe An coastal route connecting Cua Lo Port, Vissai International Port, DKC Port and Cua Lo, Bai Lu, FLC tourist areas... is completed, the locality needs to quickly promote its internal resources to seize new opportunities in trade and develop service and tourism industries.

On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue presented 2.8 billion VND to support the construction of 70 "Great Solidarity" houses for poor households in Nghe An province; presented a photo of "Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton" and a gift of 50 million VND from the Deputy Prime Minister to the hamlet as a community fund; the Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front also presented 5 gifts to 5 typical families of the hamlet along with many meaningful gifts from the Provincial People's Committee, the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and businesses located in the province; Provincial leaders also presented gifts to the people of Tan Lap 1 hamlet.
