Former player Tran Dinh Hoang said goodbye to SLNA after 17 years of association.

Footballer Tran Dinh Hoang is one of many outstanding players of Hung Nguyen football. The neighboring district of Vinh city is also the birthplace of SLNA legends such as Ngo Quang Truong, Pham Van Quyen, Nguyen Minh Duc or later Ho Tuan Tai.

After 17 years with SLNA, Dinh Hoang is a player who has won many titles with SLNA youth teams, including the National Cup Championship, but has never once tasted the feeling of winning the V.League.

In 2016, Dinh Hoang's contract with SLNA was extended and at the end of V.League 2019, the player born in 1991's contract with his hometown team expired. In the context that SLNA has not found a new sponsor, Dinh Hoang is the next player to leave SLNA after Nguyen Manh and Khac Ngoc, teammates of the same age.

Dinh Hoang's new destination is SHB Da Nang Club, the transfer fee and salary are not disclosed but are around 2 billion VND/season. Along with Dinh Hoang, Ngoc Toan will join the Han River Football Team with a 2-year contract. Before packing up to join the team in Da Nang, Dinh Hoang shared: "SLNA is the place that gave me today, although I did not want it, this is the right time for me to seek new challenges. I would like to thank the leaders and coaches who have taught, guided and created conditions for me over the past 17 years in the most difficult times. I also especially thank the love of SLNA fans for me.
