Nghe An Southwest Economic and Technical College opens vocational intermediate classes

(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Southwest Technical Economic College has just held the opening ceremony of the 9th vocational intermediate classes and celebrated Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20).

Attending were representatives of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. On the side of Do Luong district, there was comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee.

With the mission of training, vocational training, and creating jobs for workers in the southwestern districts of Nghe An province, in the 2018-2019 school year, the school opened 40 intermediate and elementary vocational training classes for 1,300 students.

Focus on industries such as: Electronics, civil electricity, carpentry, welding, industrial sewing, farming, plant protection and animal husbandry. After training, students all have jobs and stable income.

In 2019, the school achieved 102% of the province's enrollment and training target, participated in the grassroots equipment competition and won second prize and third prize at the provincial competition on sewing and fashion design. This school year, the school organized the opening of 8 intermediate classes with 400 students, 45-50 elementary classes to train in many fields.

Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs praised the school's achievements in the past school year, and hoped that the school would continue to make efforts, unite, compete in good teaching and learning, and be a reliable address for vocational training.

On this occasion, businesses donated 14 million VND to the school's scholarship fund. The school awarded groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in activities celebrating Vietnam Teachers' Day this year.
